the GR de Pays d’Armagnac develops on 346 km and is available in three thematic loops (from 3 to 6 days) which can be combined with each other. It offers a long-distance hiking trail (GR) open to 3 practices, Strolling along, by bike et on horseback.

The Gascon genius is not only in the kitchen! We also find it throughout the local architecture and its beautiful stones. Bastides, castles and abbeys, the heritage and its historical secrets are yours. The main stages: 

  • Montreal of the Gers and its Gallo-Roman villa of Séviac 
  • Larressingle and its medieval town
  • Condom and its Saint-Pierre cathedral

Loop #2 – In the footsteps of D’Artagnan – 142.8km

Prick a feather on your felt-tip pen, polish your mustache and set off to attack Lupiac, the birthplace of Mr. Charles de Batz de Castelmore. A characterful route to rediscover the life of our reckless hero. The main stages: 

  • Cazeneuve and its Lamothe tower 
  • Lagraulet du Gers and the Jacquaire fresco of its Water Castle 
  • Vic-Fezensac and its arenas 
  • Lupiac and its D’Artagnan Museum

Loop #3 – Les Eaux Essentielles – 110.9km

From spring water to mouth watering via Armagnac brandy and thermal waters, they are all in this loop rich in heritage. The main stages:

  • Eauze, capital of Armagnac and its Saint-Luperc cathedral
  • Sainte-Christie d’Armagnac and its raw earth castle 
  • Nogaro and his fresco in the Collegiate Church of Saint-Nicolas 
  • Castelnau-d'Auzan and its Notre-Dame de Pibèque church, a major place of pilgrimage
