A “Place de la Course” already existed in the 19th century, which bears witness to an ancient tradition. The town of Panjas was also mentioned in 1890 as one of the towns in Gers where races took place most regularly.
After a period of absence, they resumed on the eve of the First World War, then were reborn in the interwar period. The construction of permanent boxes topped with a stand was carried out with the help of the population in 1979-1980.
The track is fenced with a wooden barrier, and removable stands are installed all around during the races held there.
