Description

Departure from Gondrin – Place du Village.
After passing Gondrin and its sanctuary of Notre-Dame-de-Tonneteau (chapel, source, tree of apparition, etc.), you head towards the capital of Armagnac: Eauze.
Located on the best wines of Bas-Armagnac and Ténarèze, it was a Gallo-Roman metropolis as evidenced by numerous discoveries, notably that of the Eauze treasure: 28 coins and precious objects presented at the archaeological museum.
Continuing, on the edge of the Landes forest, you arrive at Montréal du Gers, one of the first bastides in Gascony, with its central square and its beautiful half-timbered houses. In the heart of Ténarèze, the canton of Montreal is the largest vineyard area. Here, you can visit the Gallo-Roman villa of Séviac with its remarkable polychrome mosaics.
You end your walk with the unmissable village of Fourcès, circular in shape, with its clock tower, its castle and its medieval bridge over the Auzoue.
