Description
To get to the start, from Houga, follow the D6 towards Nogaro. After leaving the village, take the first road on the right (Route de la Forêt) which starts at the corner of an isolated house. Follow this road and park in the gravel parking lot where the signs describing the hike are placed.
(D/A) Go back up the Forest Road for a few dozen meters. Take a path on the right which, after a bend to the right, takes you towards the pond which you follow until you reach the road.
(1) Turn left and cross the dike of the pond to follow a path on the right a few meters after.
(2) At the fork, turn right and cross the poplar forest. Continue right on the road.
(D/A) Once back at the starting car park, turn left and take the path under the trees. Reach the junction of a forest road and a path on the right.
(3) Follow this path for approximately 250 m then turn left to join the forest road. Take right until the crossroads where you turn left and go a few meters.
(4) Turn right on the road which leads to the main road to Perchède. A sign indicates the direction to go to Perchède.
(5) At the vineyard field, turn right and take the path that runs alongside the vineyards. Then follow the Route de l'Étang on the right to return to your starting point after having crossed the dike (D/A).
