The original worship building, on an ancient site, was destroyed and the church was rebuilt on a new location, not far from the entrance to Éauze, by Léopold Gentil, departmental architect, in 1856.
To the west, the bell tower in the same style (reconstructed in 1957), which hides the facade, opens with a porch with painted decoration of trompe l'oeil arcatures; it is covered by a massive square plan with buttresses, topped by a double-sloping spire.
