Église Saint-martin (aiguillon)

The church of Castex: parish church until the 20th century, was rebuilt from the remains of the XNUMXth century (the Black Prince crossed Armagnac, destroying everything he could not carry away).
The Castex church was not spared. The reconstruction work lasted two years. The church was separated in the middle by a wall with an arch on each side. This removed wall is replaced by Doric columns, forming an aisle on the right and left. On May 17, 1842, Monseigneur de la Croix de Lazaulette, archbishop of Auch, consecrated the church under the name of Saint Martin. In 1872, the wall bell tower was replaced by the current bell tower, with a louver.
To the facade which remains intact is added a porch supporting the town hall (now decommissioned).
On September 18, 1932, Monsignor Ricard, Archbishop of Auch, consecrated the church of Castex, a Marian sanctuary.
