Village de Campagne d'Armagnac

Campagne d'Armagnac is an ancient Castelnau whose castle dominates the plain of Douze.
In the XNUMXth century, it was part of the viscounty of Marsan and reported directly to the king-duke.
Today, the village presents itself as a village - street but is in reality two-headed with a first residential core around the castle and the fortified enclosure, and a second towards the church.
There are no sites in the town open to the public, except the church which can be visited on the days and hours of the Town Hall (Tuesday all day and Thursday afternoon).
Go and see, in the northwest corner of the church, an oratory dedicated to the Virgin and Child.

The Castle is privately owned and is currently not open to the public.
It presents the remains of an important 12th century manor house, remodeled during the Renaissance.
From its feudal past remains a crenellated octagonal keep, loopholes and a bretèche.

The town has a superb round basin wash house with roof and flat tiles and beautiful framework on wooden pillars.
