Village de Larée

On the banks of the Douze, among the wooded hillsides, Larée offers a lovely panorama of the Landes forest and the Pyrenees.
As evidenced by traces of foundations at a place called Glézia, the site has been frequented since Gallo-Roman times.
Larée was formed little by little and continued to write its history over the centuries, the village became a bastide town but its church was burned down during the wars of religion.
Larée is also the country of geese and ducks; it is a privileged place for nature lovers, hunters, fishermen and hikers.
