Village de Mauleon d'Armagnac

Mauléon d'Armagnac is one of the largest municipalities in our community of municipalities.
Mauléon d'Armagnac corresponds to the meeting of 4 parishes: Mauléon, Cucassé, Soubère and Bréchan, which were formerly attached to the bishopric of Aire sur Adour in the department of Landes, under the Ancien Régime while belonging to the Election of Aramagnac.
The town still has an important religious and civil architectural heritage today.

The churches of Mauléon and Bréchan were pillaged; the churches of Soubère and Cucassé were burned. On the church of Mauléon, the octagonal tower which dominates the semi-circular apse with a small turret topped with a hillock catches the eye.
Maniban Castle is a Renaissance manor from the end of the 1984th century which was included in the Inventory of Historic Monuments in XNUMX.
The Mauléonais are renowned for taking care of the gastronomic welcome of their guests, particularly during their patronal festival on the 4th Sunday of July.
