Village de Rozes

Rozès is a limestone plateau crisscrossed by three valleys where the Baïse, the Bèze and the Arquatère flow.
The highest point is 192 meters. The oldest mention of Rozès dates back to 1030.
It was during the XNUMXth century that a castelnau was built around the original castle.
This set disappears for unknown reasons.

The current Castle dates from the XNUMXth century.

The Saint Marin de Rozès church was built around 1850. It was in the XNUMXth century that the Town Hall-school building was erected.

We can observe the statue of the Virgin and Child in the village square and the cross at a place called Padouenc.

We also note the presence of the Saint-Jean Baptiste church in Miran as well as the former Saint Martin de Castagnès convent on the RD939.

Finally, the Aumensan castle stands on the edge of the Vic road.

The writer Stanislas de Fumet is buried in the Miran cemetery.

Town hall open Tuesday from 16 p.m. to 18 p.m. and Friday from 12:30 p.m. to 16:30 p.m.
