It is a soil recognized particularly in Armagnac because it brings freshness, minerality and elegance to the eaux-de-vie. Since the arrival of Jean-Dominique Laudet at the estate in 1820, know-how has been passed down from father to son. Since 2007, the 8th generation has been in charge of the vineyard. The ambition of Cyril Laudet and Julie (his partner) is to work while respecting traditions, while bringing a contemporary touch, in line with their time and their modern vision of wine and Armagnac.
From working the soil and the vines, from vinification to aging, everything is done to extract as much of the Landes typicity and identity as possible from the terroir.
The estate, which began its conversion to organic viticulture in 2019, today extends over 23 ha. It produces white, rosé and red wines in IGP Landes and Côtes de Gascogne as well as a large collection of Armagnac.
In addition to classic blends and precious vintages, Cyril and Julie initiated a new approach to Armagnac in 2015 with the 3-12-21 range, intended to break existing codes while explaining the impact of aging. Today, with EAU DE VIE (100% Folle Blanche), EXODE XIV (100% Ugni Blanc) and RESISTANCE (100% Baco), it is through grape varieties and their history that they raise awareness among enthusiasts and convert novices.
To use their mantra: “Armagnac is back!”
The estate opens its doors to you all year round for visits, tastings and live sales. Come discover the art of distillation during meals around the still in winter or enjoy the beauty of the spaces during festive evenings in summer.
