Our property is located in Bas-Armagnac, a territory of tawny sands, which produce eaux-de-vie of exceptional quality with its 12 vintages: 2002, 1984, 1978, 1976, 1974, 1968, 1965,1962, 1959, 1943 , 1938, 1927 and XNUMX.
A little bit of history
In 1927 my grandfather distilled his first eau-de-vie, the traveling distiller came to the house, the Baco grape variety was used for all our distillations.
The financial means at the time did not allow for regular distillation.
After the 1940-1945 war, on his return from Germany, my father joined my grandfather, both of them continued the tradition.
In 1974 my husband and I started working life, working on the family farm was our priority. We participated in the following distillations. When my father died, I inherited a stock of Armagnac that I would like to share with everyone.
Our Armagnacs
We only have vintages, all our oldest Armagnacs have aged for 50 years in oak barrels, these barrels were made by local artisan coopers, the oaks from our family woods were used in their manufacture.
The evaporation “the angels' share” in the cellar leads to the natural reduction of the Armagnac, all our vintages are different, their amber color and their degree vary, our Armagnacs are not reduced they have very subtle aromas. Bottling is done as sales continue to allow the Armagnac to age as long as possible in oak barrels.
