Domaine de Ménard

The Jegerlhener-Prataviera family has been working the vines in Gascony for almost a century.
Three generations have succeeded one another to create wines of rare elegance, the fruit of an exceptional terroir and the work of time.
Located in the north of the Gers, in the Brittany commune of Armagnac, the history of this vineyard dates back to 1920, the year in which Jean-François Morel decided to settle in the Gers to work the vines.
Passed down from generation to generation, the Estate has evolved over time, modernized and expanded to today extend over 120 ha.
It produces Armagnac as well as a very rich range of Côtes de Gascogne wines ranging from red, rosé and dry and sweet whites.
During your visit, Elisabeth, a trained oenologist, and her husband Henry Prataviera, will be happy to share their passion for their profession with you. They will explain the stages of making a wine to you and will be able to teach you the tasting techniques to appreciate all the aromas and flavors of the wines they compose.
