The course 🛤️
In the heart of Bas Armagnac and Gascony, in the Gers, the Armagnac velorail starts from the old station de Nogaro.
This original walk on the old railway line from Nogaro to Sorbets, allows you to discover the Gers countryside with its hilly landscapes on a semi-shaded route of 12kms round trip. Departure on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays in low season and every day in July and August!
Get on a funny “pedal boat” equipped with electric assistance and set off for a 1h30 to 2h walk or… challenge!

Funny machine, the draisine is a cart that allows you to travel on the rails of a railway track using your legs, but to help you we moved on to the electric !
1 handcar counts up 5 seats :
- 2 at the front (from 7 years old),
- 3 at the rear including the possibility of a child seat (12 months minimum).
- At least one adult adult per rail bike
The History of the station📜

Train line 643
Line number 643 000 on which you will travel formerly transported travelers until its closure in the 1960s.
Goods transport took over and the last trains ran until the end of the 2000s.

2013 to 2016
In order to develop its territory and strengthen its activity, the Nogaro Tourist Office is carrying out work to restore the road between 2013 and 2014.
The Armagnac Vélorail opens its tracks on 10th May 2014 for a 9km round trip between Nogaro and Sorbets.
En July 2016, the journey is extended and passes to 12km round trip.

From 2020 to…⏳
In 2020, the Vélorail de l'Armagnac is equipped with electric assistance on all his handcars.
Today, a study is underway to extend the route to extend the pleasure of our visitors... to be continued!

⚠️ A handcar has up to 5 seats: 2 at the front, 3 at the rear including the possibility of a seat for young children (12 months minimum). A child, whatever their age, counts for a full place compared to the number of people authorized. For safety reasons, children under 1 year old are not accepted.

No, departures are fixed at the times indicated (1 departure in low season, 4 departures in summer).
How many handrails are there maximum?
14 handcars so 70 people in total

yes from 12 months we have seats for babies where you can hold him in your arms.

yes, because the handrails are equipped with electric assistance.
Can we stop for a picnic on the route?
no, it is a continuous journey so it is impossible to take a break.
