The little story 📜
The small town of Château Neuf d'Auzan was born into feudal life around the XNUMXth century, at the time when Bernard V Count of Armagnac covered Armagnac with fortified castles and bastides. Built in the heart of a luxuriant territory once occupied by a parish of the greatest antiquity whose original center was the church of Saint-Martin d'Arech, Castelnau d'Auzan with its corner square bears all the characteristics of a new medieval town, although the keep, the fortified castle and the ramparts have disappeared. Several other churches were part of this important jurisdiction among which we can still see today.

The Legend of the miraculous spring of Pibeque :
“A farmer had a sick cow and thought she didn't have long to live. He noticed as the days went by that she was getting better and better even though she was absent when he was feeding the rest of the herd. One day he decided to follow her and saw that she was simply drinking water from a spring near the farm. He thought that this water had virtues of which he was unaware, he began to tell those around him, the source was probed and a statue of Our Lady was discovered there.
